Upholstery:  club soda

Ink spot – Mix:  1 tbsp cream of tartar, 1 tbsp lemon juice, cold water

Oil stain:  white chalk rubbed into stain before laundering

Perspiration:  white vinegar and water

Rust (from fabric):  lemon juice, salt and sunlight

Water marks:  toothpaste

Wine:  salt

Coffee cup:  moist salt

Coffee pot: vinegar

Scorch mark:  grated onion

Most spots: club soda, lemon juice or salt

Tiles, sinks and tube:

a)      all-purpose cleaner

b)      rub with half a lemon dipped in borax, rinse, dry with soft cotton cloth

c)      ¼ cup baking soda and ½ cup vinegar and warm water
