 SIGNS

  1. Land HO!   You are one ship with settlers headed for a new home at ……….  Homestead!  You will find supplies in your bag and instructions along the way to help you overcome various hardships.  We want all ships to arrive safely so do not disturb any of the trail markers.  Keep everything you are carrying or pick up in your bag.  Don’t damage any trees – there are plenty of sticks around.  Collect (pine cones, garbage, dried grasses or flowers, insects, whatever is appropriate – at least one per girl, but leave some for the other ships – to trade for supplies along the way.  Be thinking of a name for your ship as you follow the trail of blue yarn to your next stop.  Safe journey!  The shipmaster.

  2. DISASTEROUS WAVES!  The rough water has           broken your sail, so get out your sail repair kit and fix it, then follow the Golden Trail (yellow yarn) to your next step.  Be sure your sale is sturdy and not wobbly.

  3. NAMELESS HOLLOW!  Make a flag for your wagon with your flag kit.    Some one must carry it, fastened to a stick for the rest of the journey.  Follow the red trail to your next stop.

  4. LOOK OUT – MAN OVERBOARD  The youngest settler just fell out of the ship and sprained her ankle.  Use your first aid kit to bandage her ankle and carry her on a life boat (hand seat) to your next stop.  Go in the direction indicated by the trail sign, 25 paces.

  5. TROPICAL ISLAND!  The ankle is healed.  Trade the items you have collected in your sack for supplies from Tropical Sal.  Then follow the rust trail.

  6.  ISLAND SWAMP!  Eat your snack hear to gain strength.  This will keep you from getting too sick with Tropical Fever.  Continue on your way.

  7. SNAKE BITE SANDS!  You have all been bitten by a  snake, find (list of things to be found nearby) to make   serum, trade with ISLAND MEDIC Sue.

  8. ……………. Homestead!  You have reached the end of your journey.

                                 HAPPY EXPLORING!
